American Football: The American Football is the most popular sport among viewers in the United States. It is a combat game where highly trained athletes skillfully and brutally execute strategic plans. Most other enthusiasts gather at a local bar or at a friend's house to watch the game in front of a big screen TV. The National Football League (NFL ) consists of 32 teams located porfesionals in major cities in the United States. Games are Sunday afternoons, with some nationally televised Monday night. It is very difficult to get tickets to any NFL game and usually sell out before the season starts.

Baseball: Baseball is the second most popular sport in the United States and has a completely different than the football atmosphere. It is a game of intense concentration and perfect execution of skills. There are 30 teams in Major League Baseball divided into the National League and the American League. Each team plays about 160 games in the evenings on weekdays evenings or weekends, between early spring and late fall. The best team from each league at the end of autumn to the World Series games that determine the National Champion.

Basketball: The basketball combines the excitement of a fast as the football with concentration and athletic ability in baseball game. A basketball game can be intensely exciting but does not have the toughness of football. The National Basketball Association (NBA) has 29 teams from cities across Canada and USA. They play about 100 games in the evenings and some afternoons between October and May. The championship games are in June.

Hockey: Hockey is not as popular as football, baseball or basketball but has a number of fans in certain cities in the U.S. and Canada. This game has the thrill of the speed of football and basketball in addition to rather violent contact. Hockey games have a reputation for attracting noisy audiences, beer drinkers and full of rude fans. The National Hockey League (NHL) has 30 teams in major U.S. cities and Canada. Each team plays about 80 games between October and April.

Motor racing NASCAR: Ever racing cars were popular among the rural population in small towns of the Southeastern U.S.. Today, the National Association of Automobile Racing (NASCAR) is one of the sports that expectation is growing faster in the United States. They are held close to 35 major NASCAR races each year plus 60 minors and special races. The tickets are usually available at the tracks since the tracks have much capacity. The racing season starts in February in the southern states and extends to the end of August.
