National Parks: It begins with the Grand Canyon for the awesome sight of this national treasure then go to Sunset Crater Volcano. Finish with Petrified Forest and Painted Desert, where you'll find beautiful scenery and fossils millions of years old. Utah has some of the most diverse national parks in the entire system.

 

Restaurants

1. Old Ebbitt Grill, Washington, D.C. : The Old Ebbitt Grill is an icon of Washington that has been attracting the likes of presidents since its opening in 1856. Is bar and oldest restaurant in town, and although it has been moved, most recently on 15th Street two blocks from the White House in 1983, many of the artifacts from the original location twice, including taxidermy and lamps gas, have been preserved.

2. Keens Steakhouse,  New York: New York is full of venerable, historical, and boasts some of the country's most distinguished "steakhouses" restaurants, however Keens Steakhouse is above the rest. Keen Albert founded the restaurant in 1885 in what was then the Theater District, Herald Square. Now, it is a living relic, wood paneled rooms dressed in historical paraphernalia, old framed pictures, photos and menus.

 

3. Canlis, Sea ttle: Canlis is a baby in this list, with only 62 years, but it is a pleasure for any traveler who appreciates the lineage, architecture and food of high caliber. First, the building is a masterpiece of mid last century. all windows, high ceilings and stone - designed by the father of Northwest architecture Roland Terry and headquartered in Honolulu Pete Wimberly.  Inside, guests will find an elegant four-star hotel, run by the third generation owners Mark and Brian Canlis. The menu offerings in 2008 were renewed when chef Jason Franey brought aboard.
